This sequence shows smaller birds harassing a juvenile Bald Eagle, a behavior called "mobbing". According to the Cornell University Ornithology Lab, "they typically do this in an effort to drive away potential predators from a breeding territory, a nest or young, or a non-breeding home range." Before this sequence, an Eastern Kingbird had pursued the Eagle for several hundred feet, even landing briefly on the Eagle's back.
